Today, our journey took us from Ergoldsbach and Kröning to Vilsbiburg. The first surprise hit us just as we reached the heights of Ergoldsbach—we encountered a sudden rain shower. Naturally, we hadn't brought any rain gear since the weather forecast had predicted beautiful weather.
We found temporary shelter at a conservatory company and waited for the rain to pass. Fortunately, it didn't last long. We didn't let this brief incident spoil our trip and continued our journey without further interruptions.
Dietelskirche in Kröning
We took a short break at the Dietelskirche in Kröning. After a quick bite to eat and a sip of aloe juice, we continued on to Vilsbiburg, where we visited the Stadtpfarrkirche Mariä Himmelfahrt.

Franz-Eberhofer-Kreisel
On our way home, we passed by the Franz Eberhofer roundabout. Unfortunately, we noticed it too late. Next time, we'll definitely make a stop there—it's a must-see.
Pause at Räucherhansl
Towards the end of our tour, we stopped at Räucherhansl and treated ourselves to a good meal. There, we encountered a biker group of about 16 people—definitely not my kind of scene.
Niederviehbach: Rain again?
At Niederviehbach, we saw another rain shower ahead. And which direction did we have to go? Right toward the shower, of course. Fortunately, we skillfully managed to avoid it and watched the lightning from a safe distance.
Conclusion and Takeaway
To top it all off, a bird flew into my father's visor. Fortunately, both were unharmed—the bird flew away and my father continued riding. It was yet another eventful tour with many beautiful curves and exciting experiences. In the future, regardless of the weather forecast, I'll make sure to pack rain gear if I have a backpack with me.
